A small group meeting was organised by the Foundation for Agrarian Studies at the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF), Chennai, on February 11, 2017 to discuss the scope of our forthcoming research projects.

The meeting was attended by the following academics and scholars:

  2. Madhura Swaminathan, Professor and Head, Economic Analysis Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore
  3. V K Ramachandran, Vice Chairperson, State Planning Board, Kerala, and Professor, Economic Analysis Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore
  4. Sandipan Baksi, Programme Coordinator, Foundation for Agrarian Studies, Bangalore
  5. S Niyati, Junior Research Fellow, Economic Analysis Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore

This was followed by another meeting with Judith Heyer at the office of the Foundation on February 28, 2017 to explore possibilities of further association. The Foundation is extremely grateful for her valuable inputs and sincerely hopes to collaborate with her in future endeavours.
