Shashank from the Free Software Movement of Karnataka (FSMK) presented a seminar titled “Introduction to Free Software” on June 2, 2017, at the office of the Foundation.

The objective of the presentation was to explain the meaning of “free” in “free software.” Shashank pointed out that freedom for the Free Software Movement essentially implied freedom of information and informed decision-making. The movement however is also concerned with social, economic, and political freedoms.

The Foundation intends to have a series of presentations by the team at FSMK in the coming days on related issues of importance.
