The Foundation for Agrarian Studies (FAS) is organising the Third Young Scholars’ Workshop, to be held in Bengaluru, for young scholars working in the field of agrarian studies and on socio-economic life in rural India. Please check this space for further updates.

The workshop will have sessions on overview of Indian agriculture, inequalities in the agrarian economy, and on research methodology. The special theme for the workshop is “Science and Technology in Indian Agriculture.” The workshop will cover a range of topics, including the development of science and technology in Indian agriculture, agricultural research and extension, technological change, and environmental sustainability.

Interested scholars are requested to send an application (attached) along with their curriculum vitae and name of one referee to sandipan[at]fas[dot]org[dot]in at the earliest. The applicant should be a post-graduate degree holder in any social science subject, with a working knowledge of English.

There is no registration fee for the Workshop. The local hospitality including food, accommodation, and local travel in Bangalore, during the Workshop shall be covered by the Foundation. The Foundation will not provide inter-city and inter-state travel support to the participants.
