Call for Applications 2025-26

The Foundation for Agrarian Studies (FAS) is organising the third round of its Young Scholars’ Online Seminar Series (YSOSS) in 2024–25. We invite applications for the same from interested young scholars working on aspects of the rural economy and society of India.

YSOSS is a platform for young scholars working in the field of agrarian studies and on socio-economic life in rural India to present their findings and receive feedback from peers, expert discussants, and other eminent scholars. The end-goal is to build a network of such scholars. The series is chaired by Barbara Harriss-White, Emeritus Professor of Development Studies, University of Oxford. To know more about the seminar series, see this link.

Eligibility:

The applicant should be at an advanced stage of their Ph.D. or should have completed their Ph.D. within the last five years.

Application Procedure:

Interested scholars are requested to fill the application form linked above, along with a curriculum vitae and a writing sample. The applications will be scrutinised by the Research and Development Team at the Foundation, in consultation with subject experts.
