Biplab Sarkar, Assistant Professor, PES University, conducted the second in the series of workshops on “Basic and Advanced Statistics” at the office of the Foundation on September 8, 2017.

The workshop focused on the topic of “Sampling Distribution”. He gave a brief introduction to the concepts, before going on to discuss the “Simple Random Sampling” technique in detail. This was followed by a discussion on the relevance of this technique to the research undertaken by the Foundation. It was an interactive session with equal participation from the attendees.

Biplab plans to conduct the third in the series of workshops in the month of October, 2017.
