The Second in the series of time use surveys under the project on Women’s Work in Agriculture and Rural Production in India was held in the Alabujanahalli village in Maddur taluk, Mandya district of Karnataka from September 12 to September 20, 2017.

These surveys follow the time-use methodology. They use the tool of labour-diaries and interview the selected women several times a day for one week continuously. During the survey at Alabujanahalli, 21 women from different socio-economic strata will be interviewed. The sample has been selected based on earlier PARI (Project for Agrarian Relations in India) survey of 2009.

The survey team consist of: M. Asha, Sanjukta Chakraborty, Divya Devadiga, Arindam Das, Ritika Goenka, Manjula, Rakesh Kumar Mahato, S. Niyati, T. Sivamurugan, Madhura Swaminathan, R. Vijayamba, Ranjini Basu, Shruthi, B.P. Vasanthamma, and Vijay Kumar.
